“Bee Calm” – Restorative Honeybee Hatha with Sound Healing

Held in the Center Room

Price to attend £30 per person

‘Feel-Good Friday’

This workshop aims to help you relax and renew so you can ‘feel-good Friday’ with restorative yoga, honeybee (bhramari) breathing, meditation and deep relaxation.

The session will begin with a meditation to ground into the practice before coming into a slow and calming restorative flow, practised mindfully with honey-bee breath vibrations. Honeybee breath is a safe, easy-to-learn and joyful breath practice, with tremendous therapeutic potential.   The vibration of sound waves helps to release stress at a cellular level, and the joyful nature of the practice calms and uplifts body and mind.

The workshop will move into ‘yoga nidra’ (progressive deep relaxation) practice with Tibetan singing bowl sound healing. Yoga Nidra, or the “sleep of the sages”, is an ancient practice that dates back to the earliest written yogic texts.  It is a beautiful, effortless, relaxing practice, where it is possible to reach the deepest states of rest, while maintaining full awareness.  Lying comfortably on your back, you will be guided into progressive relaxation for mind and body using honeybee breath (bhramari pranayama) & Tibetan singing bowl sound healing. The vibration of sound waves helps to release stress at a cellular level, which calms the body and mind, bringing you more easily into a blissful state of ‘waking-dreaming’.

This workshop is suitable for beginners and pregnant ladies.  Please inform me before practice if you are pregnant or are working with any injuries.
