End of Summer Reset - Adult and Child Retreat

There are many reasons why a child might feel anxious about starting the new school year (separation anxiety, fear of attending a new school, going to a new class or teacher and much more. In this end of summer workshop we will deliver a range of therapeutic activities to support your child to understand, express and cope with emotions. A beautifully curated event for you to share special time together and engage in our carefully crafted activities.
Hypno4Children session – introducing children and adults to their brilliant brain through the brain house and helping children to recognise the range of emotions within us. Workshop on identifying our emotions as characters within our brain house and creating these characters as cards which can be used at home to help children and adults communicate about which characters are showing up and learning tools they may be able to use to help in emotional regulation.
A mindful nature walk, to move the body and exercise all the senses, collecting natural materials along the way to use as inspiration for art work.
A Pottery workshop creating a ceramic dish for children to house their emotional character cards. Using traditional hand building techniques and a range of pottery tools and textures to create a unique masterpiece. A choice of glazes will be available, which will be applied to the dish before kiln firing.
Aromatherapy workshop learning about safe blending for children and creating a special blend of their own to be made into a rollerball for pulse points to take away.
Reflexology tutorial teaching adults the beautiful practice of Reflexology and how to give this to your child. Adults are guided through the reflexology routine during this workshop, giving a treatment to your child as we learn all the acupressure points located in the feet and how they relate to the system. The aim is to build connection and bonding and learn tools and techniques to help soothe and calm your child as they develop and grow through the years.

Chantal (The Little Room of Calm) is a trained nurse, qualified Clinical Hypnotherapist and NLP Practitioner, Hypno4Children practitioner, Emotional Freedom Technique Practitioner, Reflexologist and Aromatherapist with a great passion for holistic care. She has worked with children and adults within the NHS and privately as a nurse and therapist and is dedicated to continually learning how best to support people through a range of therapies and tools which encompass both the mind and body as one.
Tania Ware (Wild Fern Studio) is a Ceramic Artisit, Theraputic Arts Practitioner, Art Life Coach and Montessori Teacher. She has worked in education, in nurseries, schools and privately with children from birth through to adults, practising a holistic approach to support the whole child: physically, socially, emotionally and mentally.
