Course details
Our Retreat Days are a wonderful way to spend time in the company of other mindful practitioners, exploring different aspects of Mindfulness. The majority of the day is spent in silence, with the intention of cultivating a greater sense of present awareness, free of the usual social pressures and obligations we all feel.
The day begins with a hot drink, snack and introduction from the teacher, followed by a series of guided meditations. These include both still practices, and those involving gentle movement and walking. Lunch can be brought with you, or we can provide from our wonderful vegan caterers. The afternoon continues with further practices and we then have time to reflect on the day before we finish.
Our July day is a little different, with a combination of Mindfulness practice, and linked writing exercises to deepen and expand our experience. The explores how the Mindfulness and awareness of the present moment links and interacts with our creativity in a fun and (hopefully) eye-opening way.
As part of the day is spent in the forest, gardens or countryside comfortable clothing, weatherproof footwear and coats are advised. We also ask participants to bring their own yoga mat and meditation cushion if you have these.
The Retreat day will take place in a large, airy and well-ventilated room with access to hand sanitiser and the ability to social distance from other participants. Weather permitting, we also hope to run some of the day outdoors in the beautiful grounds of the Retreat Centre. We will of course adhere to all COVID-19 regulations. If you have any questions about the facilities or our protective measures please do get in touch.
