The Winter Solstice
The earth rotates on a tilted axis. When this axis leans towards the sun, it’s summer in the northern hemisphere and winter in the south. This is reversed as the earth continues on its orbit until the axis becomes tilted away from the sun.
During the winter solstice, the earth’s axis is tilted at its furthest point from the sun. This means that, for us in the northern hemisphere, the sun is at its lowest point in the sky. It’s also the shortest day of the year - and the longest night.
We welcome you into the space to allow yourself to arrive.
We then go into a Gong Session with Scania allowing our bodies and minds to relax and just be.
As we awaken, noticing the changes in us and step into the next phase of the planets cycle.
We finish with the opportunity to use the ritual of fire to release our intentions into the longer days that approach. A cauldron will be lit and paper offered if you wish to release your intention into the fire.
The Gong is a psychoacoustic gateway to heightened states of awareness and consciousness. It is an ideal tool for stress reduction, stimulation of the glandular system, and to break up emotional blockages. When skilfully played, gongs stimulate and resonate all cells in the human body simultaneously and recalibrate the parasympathetic nervous system.
The Gongs will create a sacred space, they allow us to attune our energies and link with our higher selves. During this evening we can be reminded of the fact that in spite of outward appearances, we are really beings of light occupying physical bodies. The Gong Bath will allow time and space to connect with that divine-light energy in order to recharge our “spiritual batteries” I invite you to join Scania with beautiful gongs for an evening of sound.
