Ashtanga Yoga is a traditional, dynamic, and challenging style of yoga linking movement to breathe. A set series of postures ensures a well-rounded practise that will build both strength and flexibility and over time become a moving meditation.
This course will be a step by step introduction to the practice of Ashtanga Yoga. Over the 8 weeks, you will begin with learning the most basic and accessible versions of the postures of the Primary Series, then gradually learning how to progress safely and appropriately.
You will also learn the other elements of the practice including breathing technique, bandhas, chanting, and more.
Suitable for complete beginners to Yoga, provided you are physically fit enough for undertaking a new programme of physical exercise, or for practitioners of other styles of Yoga looking for an introduction to Ashtanga.
