There are many reasons why a child might feel anxious about starting the new school year (separation anxiety, fear of attending a new school, having a new teacher and much more.

In this end of summer workshop we will deliver a range of wonderful, therapeutic activities to support your child to understand, express and cope with emotions. A beautifully planned session for you to share special time together and engage in our carefully crafted activities.

The workshop will include:

  • Creating a unique set of emotion stones which the child can use as a visual tool to support expressing their feelings.

  • An aromatherapy workshop to teach children how to blend their own special combination of oils with their parents, which will be made in to their very own rollerball to apply to their pulse points.

  • A reflexology tutorial given to parents to learn how to give reflexology to children at home, to connect and soothe. They will give their child a relaxing treatment with their specially blended oil during the workshop with guidance and support.

  • A nature walk to encourage children to observe with all their senses. Collecting interesting shapes, textures, and scents along the way.

  • A pottery activity, using traditional, hand building techniques and natural objects they collect on their walk to create a small dish to hold the emotion stones.

  • The session will close with calming, children’s breathwork exercises and relaxation.

Refreshments included in your ticket.
